Topping off ceremony set for Friday, Feb. 1 in courtyard

Join us for a “Topping Off” Ceremony as the final construction beam is hoisted via crane

Chapel Haven Schleifer Center, Inc. will hold a brief ceremony in our new courtyard next Friday, Feb. 1 at 11:30 a.m. as the final prime steel beam is hoisted into place on the fourth floor of our new SAIL universal campus via crane by our team from The S/L/A/M Collaborative.

Come, sign the beam and enjoy the spectacle! Join us afterward in our Welcome Center for light refreshments. Questions or RSVP to cdecarlo@chapelhaven.org

Learn more about our project here: New SAIL campus for lifelong living rises into the sky!

In case you are wondering what a topping off ceremony signifies, in the building construction field, the topping out (sometimes referred to as topping off) is a builders’ rite traditionally held when the last beam(or its equivalent) is placed atop a structure during its construction. It has since come to mean more generally finishing the structure of the building. We are excited!

When: Friday, Feb. 1, 2019
Time: arrive at 11:30 a.m. to sign the beam!
Where: Chapel Haven Schleifer Center courtyard, 1040 Whalley Avenue, New Haven, CT 06515
