Christine RyanAmherst Program Director, Dr. Christine Ryan, was born and raised in the Western New York area, and currently resides south of the city of Buffalo with her husband and daughter. She has over 18 years of experience working with college students, and developing, implementing, and managing academic support programs to promote student growth and success.

She has spent much of the past 2 weeks traveling to conferences and presenting to families, high school counselors, and higher education professionals on how to assess readiness for college in students with learning differences. She recently attended the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling Conference at Utica College, the Milestones Autism Spectrum Conference in Cleveland, and is looking forward to attending the Autism Society National Conference in Denver in 2 weeks.

Outside of work Christine enjoys hanging out by the pool in the summer, watching her daughter participate in gymnastics and softball, and travelling with her family to tropical destinations. She also loves to work out, watch and attend sporting events, and support the city’s beloved Buffalo Bills.
