Our complimentary Speaker Series focuses on topics related to raising children and young adults with Autism, Aspergers, ADHD and other learning disabilities.

On September 11th, 2014 we present Ricki Light, an internationally recognized leader in the field of special education for over 35 years. Ricki’s career includes leadership in public school districts in Toronto, Canada and Los Angeles and the greater Phoenix area. She is affiliated with the Melmed Center in Scottsdale, working as a facilita- tor for social skills groups of children and teens with high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders. Nationally, she is a member of multi-disciplinary educational teams, contributing as an Educational Advocate and Strategist on topics related to working with children with learning, behavioral, social, emotional, attention, sensory and academic differences.

Presented by The Academy of Lifelong Learning, our program provides an advanced and fully-accredited high school diploma program for 11th & 12th grade students on the autism spectrum and with other learning differences.
