Life Development Institute Wishes You a Happy Labor Day!

Life Development Institute (LDI), its staff, and its students hope you have a very happy Labor Day.

As you may know, Labor Day occurs on the first Monday in September and was developed to honor the social and economic achievements of workers throughout the United States.  The first law passed to celebrate Labor Day was enacted by Oregon in 1887.  Four other states, Colorado, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York, followed in creating Labor Day during 1887 as well.  Seven years later, in 1894, Congress passed legislation that made the first Monday in September the Labor Day Holiday.

At LDI, youth and young adults with special educational needs due to learning disabilities, Asperger’s syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other social or learning issues receive internationally recognized and fully-accredited high school, college, and career-focused education.  The values displayed throughout LDI echo the encouragement and empowerment provided to those who are involved in social and economic achievements.  As such, LDI celebrates Labor Day with its community and hopes everyone enjoys this time with family and friends.
