Life Development Institute in Perspective: The Academy of Lifelong Learning (Day High School)

Previously, Life Development Institute (LDI) noted that persons who discover LDI often inquire about the different programs that are offered and the characteristics of these programs.  As such, articles are being offered to help bring a greater awareness of the different options that are available to students, families, professionals, and the community.

Therefore, LDI would like to highlight the Academy of Lifelong Learning (ALL), which is LDI’s day high school program.  ALL is available to students 16 and older who have learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other social or learning issues.  ALL is housed on LDI’s Glendale, AZ campus and functions as a day high school.

The Academy of Lifelong Learning provides an ideal transitional bridge from high school to higher education, employability and better quality of life.   ALL students will be provided with focused academic and transition program of instruction, which can offer either a traditional academic or transitional-tracked academic diploma that focuses on practical life preparation instruction and guidance to improve social thinking and overall Executive Functioning.  In essence, ALL provides real skills for real needs!

As an Arizona state approved school with accreditation through AdvacED/NCA CASI, ALL has also earned a School of Excellence Award from the National Association of Special Education Teachers (for more information, please visit http://www.naset.org/4521.0.html).  Additionally, being an approved private school by the state of Arizona, allows students and families the opportunity to obtain scholarships that may cover up to the full cost of tuition!  These scholarships exist through Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Accounts program and through the School Tuition Organization program.  These scholarships provide great opportunity for Arizona students to take advantage of education that focuses on key skills that are needed in successful independent living.

LDI is currently enrolling students for its fall trimester.  It is not too late to take advantage of Arizona scholarships!  For more information on Life Development Institute and to begin the Admissions process, please call 866-736-7811 or email info@discoverldi.com.
