Job Insights from Neozene at CIP Berkeley

CIP Berkeley had eleven students attend the discussion, “Obtaining and Keeping a Job” presented by HR Manager Elise Cunanan on September 11, 2015. Ms. Cunanan works for Neozene, a new start up company located in Oakland, California. Ms. Cunanan highlighted the importance of gaining work experience skills, being prepared at interviews, utilizing proper hygiene, and asking clarifying questions about work tasks as the best ways to gain and keep employment. Students were encouraged to ask questions, and most students asked questions related to disclosure of needs, skills for a phone interview, and boundaries with workplace relationships. Thank you Ms. Cunanan for a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn from an employer perspective!
