Higher Education Accommodations at Arizona State University

Please join us to discuss students with disabilities in Higher Education and their being afforded the same access and opportunities as all other students through the Americans with Disabilities Act.  ADA laws are different than those that govern rights of students with disabilities in a K-12 setting.  This presentation will explain some of those differences and provide an understanding of the processes and policies for student accommodations at Arizona State University.

Featured Speaker: Ms. Tara Grant, M. Ed., Assistant Director for Disability Resource Center, Arizona State University

Tara is the Assistant Director for the Disability Resource Center (DRC) at Arizona State University West.  Before coming to the West location, she was the Program Manager for the TRIO Student Support Services Program in the DRC at the Tempe location for 5 years.  Prior to moving to Arizona her career was solely in TRIO Student Support Services programs in the state of New Mexico.
