Job Description:
The Director of Employee Relations will combine exceptional interpersonal skills and experience in all aspects of Human Resources and Employee Relations. S/he will have superior verbal and written communication skills; excellent facilitation, participatory leadership and solid management skills are also essential. In addition to these qualifications, we are seeking someone with a positive attitude who is flexible, conscientious, and with superior judgment; as well as someone who thrives in evolving and quickly changing environments. The most successful CIP staff members have a strong commitment to teamwork, impact, and accountability.


  • Demonstrated excellence in managing a Human Resources function for an organization
  • Proven success in designing and administering employee training programs
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, documenting and resolving employee and/or employer concerns and issues
  • Eight+ years experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of human resources procedures, systems, and policies
  • BA/S from four-year college or university; additional training or certifications in HR preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership in advancing organizational learning and human resources strategy, working with diverse teams
  • Excellent representational and collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Terrific sense of humor and of self
