“I completed several hours of community service at the Bow Wows and Meows Pet Fair, which had many different types of vendors. Some of the vendors and booths included groomers, veterinarians, dog and cat adoptions, pet sitting, photography, and food trucks. I helped make things to give out on the day of the event. On the day of the event, I helped set up the booth, and everything that went with it. During the fair, we talked to many different people. I helped gather the donations and put their names on our donor board. We helped explain to people what service dogs can be used for and how they can be trained. Some people were interested in finding out how to get a service dog for themselves or for a family member, and we talked to them about it and gave them some information on how to start looking. We raised money two ways: through donations and through a raffle. The raffle tickets were $2, and we asked for $1 dollar donations and in return gave donors a lollipop and put their name on our Angel Board.”
