CIP Long Beach Hosts Guest Career Speakers

The following is a special needs program update from Asperger’s & LD College Programs. You may also click here to read the original article on the main program website.

All CIP students develop comprehensive employment skills through extensive training, counseling, community service, resume development and internship and job placements.

Competitive jobs require employees with social skills, the ability to manage executive functioning tasks such as time management and organization, and independent living skills.

CIP Long Beach recently had two career guest speakers that the students really enjoyed. The first one was Thea Songkoon, a Middle School English Teacher who works for the Los Angeles Unified School District. The second speaker was Collin Watson-Daigeau who is a Lead Coordinator at Fed Ex Office. Both shared their educational and work experiences with our students and answered any questions they had.
