CIP Brevard: Weekly Activity Update

CIP Brevard Activities

We had another busy and productive week here at CIP Brevard. Last weekend began with our students going to several new game stores around Melbourne. On Saturday Savannah took the new social mentoring group to Café O’ Beach where they played Uno and discussed their plans for the weekend.

Later in the day the students went to the Dragon Festival at Wickham park and then to center for our Mardi Gras potluck.

This weekend several students went to a production of Cats at the Cocoa Village playhouse. On Saturday a few of our students dressed up went to the Brevard Renaissance Fair (above photo) where they had the opportunity to throw battle axes, watch fire dancers and listen to a bag piping group. Finally, on Sunday a group of the students went to the Orlando Toy and Comic convention.

Along with our current Sand Dollar Challenge we are getting ready to start our Ultimate Wellness Challenge. This is a competition between all CIP centers with the goal of increasing overall wellness, improving student’s diet and hygiene as well as reducing overall stress. We will be competing throughout the month of February, so feel free to encourage your student to help CIP Brevard win.

This week we also wanted to recognize Megan M, who will soon be graduating from Massage Therapy School and recently acquired a part-time job doing medical coding and billing.
