Christine Ryan, Ph.D.Program Director

Christine RyanChristine was born and raised in the Western New York area, and currently resides south of the city of Buffalo with her husband and daughter. She has over 18 years of experience working with college students, and developing, implementing, and managing academic support programs to promote student growth and success. Christine received a BA in International Studies from West Virginia University, a MS in College Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Throughout Christine’s career she has provided individual academic and career counseling to various populations of college students in both public and private colleges and universities. In addition, she is very familiar with the many higher education options and academic programs available to students in the Buffalo, NY area. Christine’s past experience includes 10 years at Canisius College where she served and as an Associate Dean and Director of the Student Advisement Center, and positions in the SUNY system at both the University at Buffalo and Buffalo State College where she worked as an academic advisor and program administrator.

Outside of work Christine enjoys hanging out by the pool in the summer, watching her daughter participate in gymnastics and softball, and travelling with her family to tropical destinations. She also loves to work out, watch and attend sporting events, and support the city’s beloved Buffalo Bills.
