Chapel Haven West helps agency provide disaster relief

Chapel Haven West helps World Care send relief to hurricane-stricken areas of the U.S.

Chapel Haven West’s work study program partners with World Care, a local non-profit agency providing humanitarian aid both locally and internationally through health, education, and community initiatives.

One of their core programs provides disaster relief after natural disasters. With help from community donations, their dedicated volunteers, and our Chapel Haven West interns, World Care was able to collect and ship out hundreds of thousands of pounds and over $100,000 to Texas, Florida, and Mexico in the wake of their devastating hurricanes.

World Care hosted an appreciation night recently, thanking their volunteers and interns. Pictured here are two of our dedicated job coaches on the ends, Mikiayla Key and Nicole McCraw, with our hard working students, Philip Jones, Alex Welch, and Josh Rudolph.

Philip, Alex, and Josh do a variety of tasks at World Care, from data entry in to the office to computer recycling in the warehouse. They gave their full effort to donation relief these last few months and are seen here enjoying World Care’s appreciation night with their fellow co-workers, interns, and volunteers.

Great job by all, we are proud of you!
