Chapel Haven West Changes Lives…and Stereotypes

In a feature published by Tucson Local Media on June 14, Chapel Haven West Kenneth Hosto discusses how the program’s model not only changes lives, it also changes the preconceived notions people have of autism.

“Many people had a pre-formed idea of what a young adult on the autism spectrum was, what they look like, what their abilities are going to be., Hosto said. “So, we had to use our students and their successes to open doors into the community.”
