Car Safety at CIP Brevard

Our summer term brings many new classes for our students at CIP — one of them highlights car safety. This is a class for our students that are driving their own vehicles. We started with a review of why it is important to know about the liquids that keep your car going and the importance of not only checking them regularly but also about the awareness of being safe while fueling your car. We talked about the fuel, oil, coolant, brake, power steering and windshield washing systems. Then we had each student go out to their car and do a visual inspection of these liquid systems under the hood, to see if all of the fluids were at the proper levels and reminded them that they should be checking these once a month especially the oil. In our next class, we will go over tire safety.
