Admissions Update

The following is a special needs program update from Asperger’s & LD College Programs. You may also click here to read the original article on the program’s website.

We know that planning for your student’s education in the coming year is a top priority and we’re here to assist you in moving though the enrollment process at CIP.

We’re very excited to get another year started at CIP. Orientation has began at CIP Brevard, Berkeley and Bloomington and next week CIP Long Beach, Berkshire and Amherst. Congratulations to all of our new students and their families. My hope is that our new students will obtain the skills to inspire their independence.

As the Fall programming year begins, we are writing to update you on a few important things happening here at CIP:

  • CIP is celebrating 30 years as one of the most comprehensive programs in the world for assisting young adults with learning differences to succeed in college, employment and independent living.
  • Our programs across the country have reached the highest enrollment of all-time and we welcome 50 new students this fall.
  • 110 students completed Summer@CIP programs this June and July and we are already planning summer 2015 and we hope to announce these dates and locations by November.
  • We now enter CIP’s rolling admissions process. This means that students can be admitted throughout the year. Students are most commonly admitted in the Spring (in January).
  • We have limited spaces available for next Fall (August 2015 start) for our full year program and are encouraging families to apply to begin the process by visiting our application page. Once an application is fully completed, applicants who are found to be appropriate will be invited for an in-person interview at the program of their choice. (Link to
  • Don’t forget that our tuition assistance program may help defray some of the costs of attending CIP for eligible families. (Link to

For those considering CIP, I want to personally invite you to sign up and visit CIP this fall. Our centers are hosting CIP’s Experience Days on Saturday, September 27, and Friday, September 26. These events provide an in-depth look at our full-year programs that provide comprehensive supports for young adults with Learning Differences; so that they can succeed in college, employment, and independent living. We look forward to the possibility of helping your student build a happy and productive life!
