OPTIONS F.I.T. (fitness in training) crew completed their first 5K of the year in Murphysboro at the dog day event.  All the proceeds supported the Murphysboro Dog Park and helped to raise community awareness about local no kill shelters in Southern Illinois.  The students and staff had a great time even though Mother Nature gave them cold and drizzly weather to compete in.  The OPTIONS F.I.T. team has trained together since the beginning of the academic year; their hard work and dedication paid off with medals in the run and walk divisions.  We plan to participate in several 5K events throughout the year.  Again, we are so proud of our students and the staff for all their hard work!
